Starting Monday off with a pretty great brew. @driftawaycoffee sent me a huge box of coffees and I’ve been wanting to get into them for a while, so finally starting off with this washed Kenya. I’ve actually never had a Kenya taste like this. It’s different from any Kenya I’ve had. Tried a few different recipes with this coffee and was getting a lot of these rich honey, caramel sauce, and dark chocolate flavors. Depending on the brews it has a more intense rich sweetness or a really well balanced acidity.

Also brewing it on the beautiful work of art called the Zen Dripper. Truthfully I haven’t even been able to dive into this dripper as much as I want (will be working on that soon.) But I’ve had really great results on it. Ive tried bloom + single pour recipes, pulse pour recipes, and even April style recipes and it’s been super fun to explore. @zendripper @consciouscreativecoffee & @dustinryanyu have created something wonderful, and the best part is- preorders are open RIGHT NOW! So if this is something that interests you, maybe support some wonderful people that’s apart of the industry and try something new out!
