Finally tested the Phoenix 70 by @saintanthonyindustries today with MSP (Myanmar Shwe Padauk) coffee from @driftawaycoffee, and I’m convinced the brew column is the perfect way to brew dark roast iced coffee. With a heated temperature, the brew method was more bitter than preferred but the taste was smokey and crisp. When properly iced, the MSP held its strength and flourished. The teased flavor notes of baking spices, cinnamon and dark chocolate intensified. Not many coffees maintain the same integrity when iced, but thanks to the Phoenix 70, there may be some hope for the warmer months!
