@barista.aesthetics brewing our Tanzanian coffee, with tasting notes of lime, orange and juniper. What are you brewing this Sunday? #pouroversunday
Drinking this delicious fair trade certified Peruvian coffee with notes of chocolate and caramel. ☕️⠀ ⠀ Our Peruvian coffee PIC comes from Finca Mexico, which is located in a small community known as Barro Negro, within the municipality of La Coipa in Cajamarca. Ines Carrasco Carhuapoma inherited Finca Mexico over a decade ago. Ines, who is 49 years old and born in La Coipa, has been around coffee farms his entire life. Ines works with Asprocafe Alpes Andino, a newer co-op in this community which has now grown to 150 members. ⠀ ⠀ Asprocafe focuses on providing workshops around quality improvement, but there have been some setbacks as the weather patterns have changed, drying of parchment has been challenging. Each producer has their own beneficio and solar dryer. Parchment is measured to 11% water content before sent to the dry mill in Chiclayo. With increased attention, we expect the quality to be exemplary of Asprocafe have to offer, and we’ve already seen investment in fairness and equitability start to pay off in the cup.⠀ ⠀ **We are shipping on Monday - stock up using the link in our profile! **
To our Driftaway family - we are still here for you ♥️ ⠀ ⠀ ROASTING & SHIPPING⠀ We are still roasting and shipping coffee. Our non-production staff is working from home, and we are keeping our in-office packaging team as small as possible. We are closely following CDC recommendations for the health and safety for our employees and you. Our production staff is small, and we are ensuring minimal contact between them. ⠀ ⠀ SUPPORTING RESTAURANT WORKERS⠀ To support restaurant and cafe workers that have lost their jobs due to this pandemic, we are donating 5 cents per pound of coffee roasted to the RWCF (Restaurant Workers’ Community Foundation) COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund. We are all in this together ⠀ ⠀ BREWING HELP⠀ Since many of you are working from home and brewing more coffee at home, we are planning to start a home brewing series on Instagram tomorrow. Watch out for live videos and recorded postings very soon, and let us know if you have any specific home brewing questions. We are here to help!⠀ ⠀ Thank you for supporting us. As an independent small business, we appreciate all your support! Stay safe. Stay strong. Elbow bumps to everyone. ⠀ - Anu, Suyog and Team Driftaway

This month's Ethiopian coffee comes from the Biftu Gudina Cooperative. Founded in 2012, the 155 members immediately built a wet mill to fix long standing processing issues. Meticulous processing has led to a floral, bright, honeyed cup that shines as an example of world-class coffee from Ethiopia's western frontier. ⠀ --⠀ : @croptocup
