Specialty coffee in the modern Congo has been an important factor in bringing economic stability and peace. Mighty Peace works directly with coffee farmers in the Democratic Republic of Congo (Congo) to educate on specialty coffee techniques, which helps them to produce high-quality coffee consistently, year after year.
Join Jim Ngokwey as he tastes coffee with us, and chats about his mission to both reclaim the narrative of Congo and of Congolese coffee, and his commitment to introduce Congo’s best coffee at scale at the global marketplace.
Depends on how you’d like to experience it!
Jim will join the regular Saturday Explorer Box tasting (from 11am-12pm EST), then he’ll hang out to talk about the coffee from the Democratic Republic of Congo and share some of the work that Mighty Peace has been doing in the Congo!
For every pound of coffee we roast this month, we are donating 5 cents directly to the Coffee Coalition for Racial Equity to support their incredible work.
